A guide to help you make decisions about migration.

What is changing?

UNIFI Pro-Only Sunset and Customer Migration

We are migrating all legacy UNIFI Pro-only customers (those that do not have Project Analytics) off UNIFI Pro by the end of July 2026. After this date, you will no longer be able to use or access UNIFI Pro. Please choose your migration path by June 1st 2026.

UNIFI Pro and Project Analytics Sunset and Customer Migration

We are migrating all UNIFI Pro and Project Analytics customers off UNIFI by October 31st, 2026. After this date, you will no longer be able to use or access UNIFI Pro or Project Analytics. Please choose your migration path by Sept 1st 2026.

Quick decision guide

Option 1: Autodesk-assisted migration

Autodesk-assisted migration is a free migration service where Autodesk performs a one-time copy of eligible UNIFI content into your Content Catalog account.

This is best for customers who want Autodesk to move their existing UNIFI content into Content Catalog with minimal manual effort.

Use this path if:

  • You want Autodesk to perform a one-time copy of your UNIFI content into Content Catalog.

  • You want to preserve the current organization of UNIFI content as much as possible.

  • You are comfortable with your target Content Catalog instance being reset before migration.

  • You do not need to reorganize, clean up, or selectively migrate content during the migration process.

  • Your users can be matched to Forma members before migration.

Option 2: Self migration

Self migration means your team manually downloads content from UNIFI and uploads or organizes it in Content Catalog.

This is best for customers who want more control over what moves, what gets cleaned up, and how content is reorganized.

Use this path if:

  • You want to clean up, reorganize, split, merge, or selectively migrate content.

  • You do not want your existing Content Catalog instance purged by the assisted migration process.

  • You want more control over what moves, when it moves, and how it is organized.

  • You have a small or manageable content set.

  • You need to manually handle items that do not transfer through the assisted migration.

Option 3: No migration

No migration means you do not want Autodesk to migrate your content and you do not plan to manually move content before UNIFI access ends.

Use this path if:

  • You no longer use UNIFI content.

  • You have already backed up or moved everything you need.

  • You understand that after the disable date, you will no longer be able to access UNIFI or recover content from it.

What assisted migration includes

The migration program includes collections, user groups populated with matching Forma hub members, and approved content with metadata such as collections, tags, supported versions, file history, properties, type catalogs, preview images, and custom preview images.

What assisted migration does not include

UNIFI access is not impacted during your review and rollout period so you will have access to both platforms. Once content is migrated some setup and configuration is required during your review and rollout period, that is 90 days from date of migration or the end of access whichever comes first. For example, collection permissions, saved searches, sharing content externally and channels.

Content Catalog is not a one-to-one replacement for every UNIFI feature. Please consider testing Content Catalog prior to deciding to migrate so you can confirm any impact on your common internal processes.

Key considerations before choosing assisted migration

By choosing Autodesk-assisted migration, you acknowledge:

  • The migration is a one-time copy.

  • Your current Content Catalog instance will be purged/reset before migration.

  • It is not reversible.

  • No additional UNIFI changes will be synced after the migration runs.

  • You are responsible for managing any changes between platforms once migrated

  • After the review and rollout period, UNIFI will be disabled.

What you need before selecting a path

Before choosing a migration path, customers should confirm:

  • Who will own the migration decision internally

  • Who is the UNIFI admin

  • Which Autodesk Forma hub should be used

  • Whether Content Catalog access is already available

  • Whether existing Content Catalog content needs to be backed up

  • Whether UNIFI content needs cleanup before migration

  • Whether users have been added to Forma

  • Whether you can complete review and rollout within 90 days or end of access
